Great Place for Young Families

Perfect accommodation for our young family (two boys 10 months and 2 1/2 years). The direct, and very safe, access to the pool from our apartment made swimming a breeze. It was in perfect vicinity to the Macrossan Street hub and to Marina Mirage. We only needed to hire a car for a couple of days as most of the attractions were in walking distance, or had a transfer pick-up.

Hartley's Crocodile Adventure was great. Wished we timed afternoon tea at the gorgeous Silky Oaks resort. It's a must to be On the Inlet for sunset and a superb dinner (and George the Groper). If you're there on a Sunday make sure you take the kids on the train ride. The Sunday Markets are lovely.

Good Location

Close to beach and restaurants yet in a quiet spot. Whilst the facilities were good the maintenance ie cleaning and things working was a disappointment.

Port Douglas is a good choice offering good restaurants and other entertainment such as rain forest and Reef access in a friendly quality environment.

Not up to scratch

This property was reasonable though somewhat tired looking. The bathroom was old and in need of renovation. Only the bedroom was airconditioned with an in-wall air conditioner and a ceiling fan in bedroom and lounge area which was not up to keeping the place cool. I consider much better value for money exists in Trinity Beach area.

I love Cairns and visit frequently. Plenty to do both in Cairns and the surrounding areas.

"I returned"

For the 2nd year running I stayed at Garrick House. Was welcomed by first name and felt immediately at home. Have already recommended Garrick House to others who are heading there next week.
