First impression- lovely well laid out appartment, great colour scheme-sea/ beach type colours. Great idea to have tv able to be turned around between lounge/kitchen area and bedroom. Huge bathroom/ laundry area. Lovely to have balcony overlooking pool area. The bbq area option meals. Really appreciated having up to date tourist info. , of all types, including the local paper. Nicely laid out area at front of property to wait for tour pick-ups.
Biggest criticism- reception- was very rarely attended. To check out we had to phone and wait for girl to ride bike over from elsewhere. Took 10-15 mins. They knew we were checking out that morning and still noone was there even at 10am check out time-very poor. We missed out on a trip to the low isles due to the fact reception wasn't attended and other people booked in while we waited for someone to ride their bike over to assist us.
We were told reception was attended during the day until about 7pm-sadly NOT the case, warrants a reduction in tarriffs.
Eat at the Tin shed on the marina-good value for money, great range, lovely outdoor eating area. Visit the seafood shops for freshly caught and cooked crabs, bugs and prawns. Go to the Sunday markets-sample local fruits and freshly squeezed juice. Ride on Ballyhooley railway-Sunday. Go to 4 mile beach-beautiful. Can hire beach chairs, umbrellas, have a massage on the beach. Visit the Daintree area at least twice- river cruise, discovery centre, cape tribulation and boardwalks.
